Ar David Mizan is the founding director and Group President of the Veritas Design Group. It was founded in 1987 with 12 other principal architects which to date has carried out various projects through its group of companies and subsidiaries. Veritas Design Group is not only among the top in Malaysia but has strong presences in 6 other countries across the world. It has won many awards for the world-class projects it has completed over the years including the PAM Awards in 2017 where it won the Commercial Low-Rise category.
If you have seen the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, then you would be glad to know it is the work of Arkitek Jururancang (Malaysia), founded by Tan Sri Dato Sri Ar Hj Esa. Ar Wong is one of the co-founders of Ken Wong Architect which is part of Unit One Design. The firm previously won the Silver award at the PAM Awards in 2016 for the 388 U Thant project under the Low-Rise Multiple Residential category.
Ar Nazlan is one of the few architects in Malaysia whose architecture work can be seen in major areas of cities. The Managing Director of Akitek Rekabina, he comes from the Nottingham School of Architecture. In fact, Ar Nazlan has more than 35 buildings including the smart schools in Putrajaya, the Cancer Research Centre building as well as the Melaka High Court Complex, to name a few.
Inspired by the story of I.M Pei, and American Pritzker Prize-Winner, Ar Alan Teh decided to venture into architecture. He would study this programme and then later form Atelier Alan Teh Architect or AATA. This was in 2005. Ar Azlan Abdul Aziz is the co-founder of S & A Architects. This firm has completed various projects including the KLGCC International Gallery, the TOD Putrajaya, Menara I&P, Mont Kiara 22 and many others. Ar Azlan wanted to become a marine biologist before changing his direction. He has followed people like Dato Ar Hajeeda and the late Datuk Kington Loo before he started his own practice. Since then, his firm has won awards for their Thistle Grove at Denai Alam project.
Dato Sri Ar John Lau is a graduate from the University of Melbourne where he is the founder of Kumpulan Design. One of the few very successful architect firms from East Malaysia (Sibu to be exact), he won the SesCo Headquarters in 1979. It would then expand to become Arkitek KDI which is involved in many high profile projects including Menara Rimbunan Hijau. Over the years, the firm has a strong footing in the industry including winning at the MIPIM Asia Awards in 2010 where it took home the Best Business Centre for the BCCK (Borneo Convention Centre Kuching) project.
CT Chan Architect or CYCA was founded by Ar Chan Chin Yeow back in 2003. The firm provides various types of services including architecture design and master planning. CTCA has built a strong rapport among its clients as well as the community and has since won awards that put it among the best in the region. Among them include winning 2 awards for the Twinkle Villa project at the 2017 PAM Awards.
Dato Dr Ar Norzam is the founder of Norzam Architect or NA. It was founded in 1991 and today has more than 20 experienced staff. It is known for some of the most high-profile projects in the country as well as the region is not only residential and commercial buildings but also in historical ones. In fact, so good is the reputation of the firm that it was given the conservation job for the Royal Polo Club for the Sultan of Johor. This saw the firm being given the Commendation Award at the 2017’s PAM Awards.
Dato Ar Michael Ong is the name behind MOCA or Michael Ong Chartered Architect. This firm is actually the in-house firm for the Quill Group, one of the largest commercial property groups in Malaysia. Dato Ar Michael Ong is the Group Executive Director of the Group where he is also the co-founder. Over the years, there have been countless awards to recognize the works of the firm including winning the Best Commercial Building at the 2006’s PAM Architecture Excellence Award.
